Ribbiting Rainbow Rendezvous: A Marker Menagerie
It all started on a quiet afternoon in the studio, with just a couple of sketched frogs looking rather lonely on the expanse of my Etchr Cold Press Perfect Sketchbook. Little did I know, this was the beginning of a 'ribbiting' adventure in technicolor thanks to some new markers (Sign Pen Brush Twin) from Pentel Canada!
As I uncapped the first marker, something magical happened. One frog became two, and before long, a duo turned into an entire ensemble of the most whimsical, colorful frogs you could imagine. It was like a rainbow exploded in the quiet pond of my creativity, and boy, was it a spectacle!
Each stroke added a new dimension to the piece, with hues that seemed to dance and leap off the page, much like the lively subjects themselves. From the fiery oranges and reds to the cool, soothing blues and greens, every color brought a new frog to life, each with its own story and personality. I achieved subtle shading using the piece of paper in the top right of the image as a palette, where I threw down the color and then moved it to the piece using the Pentel Aquash water brush in the top right.
As I share this collection with you, I invite you to leap into the vibrant world of these marker-made marvels. Perhaps they'll inspire you to create your menagerie or brighten your day with their playful charm.
